India’s TVC Heroes: Prasoon Joshi
Prasoon Joshi, marketer, screenwriter, lyricist, chairperson of CBFC and what not. He is a brilliant ad man with many titles, current chairman of McCann World Group Asia Pacific.
Prasoon started his career at Ogilvy & Mather and later promoted as Executive Creative Director at Mumbai Head office. Later in 2002, he joined McCann Erickson as Executive Vice President and National Director.
He has some significant contributions in Indian TVC history, his NDTV “Sach dhikathe hain hum”, Saffola “Abhi toh main jawan hoon”, and the Cannes winning “Thanda Matlab, Coca-Cola” featuring Aamir Khan are some of his famous ad campaigns.
It doesn’t end there, his talents are spread across ad industry, and he was selected as “Young Global Leader 2006”. In 2008, he was included among the ten members, exclusive Cannes Titanium and Integrated Jury at the Lions Cannes International Advertising Festival.
His long successful career gained national as well as global recognition, he is one of the ad gurus who is been admired and followed by many.
