Business Development Executive Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and results-oriented Business Development Executive with hands-on experience in an advertising agency environment. The role focuses on acquiring new clients, building long-term relationships, and driving revenue growth across creative, digital, and integrated marketing services.

The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of agency workflows, pitching processes, retainers, project-based engagements, and client servicing dynamics.

Key Responsibilities

New Business & Client Acquisition

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities aligned with the agency’s service offerings.
  • Lead outbound prospecting through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events.
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective clients across multiple sectors.

Pitching & Proposal Management

  • Understand client briefs and translate requirements into structured proposals and pitch decks.
  • Coordinate with creative, strategy, media, and production teams for pitch development.
  • Participate in client presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact during the onboarding phase of new clients.
  • Ensure a smooth handover to servicing teams while maintaining senior-level client relationships.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging business opportunities.
  • Share market insights with internal teams to support strategic positioning.

Revenue & Reporting

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly business development targets.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and pipeline reports.
  • Support leadership in pricing strategy and revenue planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Mandatory

  • Proven experience in business development within an advertising, digital, or creative agency.
  • Strong understanding of agency services including branding, digital marketing, social media, content, films, performance marketing, and integrated campaigns.
  • Experience handling retainers, campaign-based projects, and pitch processes.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Language proficiency in English, Hindi, and Malayalam is required.

Preferred

  • Existing network of brand managers, marketing heads, or key decision-makers.
  • Experience pitching to mid-to-large brands or corporate clients.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and proposal documentation.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with creative and strategy teams.
